zendcon2015I had a great time working the Joomla! booth at ZendCon - The Global PHP Conference at the Hard Rock in Las Vegas this last week. It was exciting to talk with developers about the trends and the upcoming features and enhancements in PHP7 and MySQL 5.7. The conference was a good opportunity to meet other Joomla! users that I don't normally see at the JoomlaDays, as well as, introduce some people to Joomla! and encourage more people to join the community.

The conference itself was full of great sessions and was well organized. The sponsor booths also has challenges to earn your shirt and PHP7 elephants, so it made the booth area much more interactive.

Here's the website for more info.

Joomla Day Minnesota is around the corner! The schedule is now posted, looks like there is something for everyone:

If you are going to be there, catch my "Going Further with Fabrik" session! https://joomladay.mn/session/going-further-with-fabrik.html

We had another great weekend in Boston at the Microsoft Nerd Center. The new format worked out smashing and there were new speakers and lots of good content.

If you attended my workshop, thanks! And, look for my intermediate level Fabrik course that will be on OS Training this summer.

Grand OasisJWC 2014 was awesome this year! First of all, the location was Cancun and the venue was the Cancun Grand Oasis. So, it was super easy to get around being an all inclusive resort with conference center.

My session went well, thanks to all that attended! I attended many other sessions and, as always, picked up some tips and tricks. There were many speakers, and all that I attended did great jobs.

The evening party was very relaxing and I met new community members from the around the world. The lighted dance floor was a nice touch and helped sweat off the free cervezas.

The main meeting room stage looked cool with the Joomla lighted blocks. And the closing event was inspirational to head back and get back to working on my Joomla sites!
